The 1590FF is the square 1590F diecast aluminum enclosure supplied with a base-mounted flange (listed as "1590F c/w base mtd flange"). With a nominal size of 188 x 188 x 67 mm (7.4 x 7.4 x 2.64 in) and a welded bottom flange plate, it lets installers and equipment builders screw a large-footprint enclosure straight to a surface.
The natural diecast aluminum alloy box and lid are vibra finished for a smooth surface with no sharp edges. The lid meets the box in a lap joint that protects against dust and splashing water, and the standard 1590FF is designed to meet IP54. Low side wall draft (2° or less) makes board mounting easy.
On the drawing, the box is 188.00 x 188.00 mm, the overall length including the bottom flange is 216.64 mm [8.529 in], and the height including the flange is 68.50 mm. Inside width is 178.50 mm and inside height 61.51 mm, with PC boards up to 174.91 x 174.91 mm. Shipping weight is 2.24 lb (1.02 kg).
Eight cover screws are included for the factory-tapped 6-32 UNC holes, recommended at 50-55 cN.m. The 1590FGASKET kit, 1590WMS100 O-ring screws and 25-30 cN.m lid torque give an IP65 upgrade path, and 1590WFF is the gasketed version. RoHS and REACH compliant, shrink wrapped, with factory modification and STEP/IGES models available.
