The 1590F is a square 1590 Series diecast aluminum enclosure measuring a nominal 188 x 188 x 67 mm (7.4 x 7.4 x 2.64 in). Its large, square footprint accepts PC boards up to 174.91 x 174.91 mm, making it a fit for engineers and integrators building wider boards, control panels or instrument front ends.
The box and lid are diecast aluminum alloy, tough yet easy to machine, and this unpainted version is vibra finished for a smooth surface with no sharp edges. A lap joint between the lid and box protects against dust and splashing water, and the standard 1590F is designed to meet IP54. Side walls have a draft of 2° or less, and the lid is 4 mm (0.16 in) high.
The drawing shows 188.00 x 188.00 x 67.00 mm overall, with an inside width of 178.50 mm and inside height of 62.00 mm. Shipping weight is 1.81 lb (0.82 kg).
Because of its size, the 1590F uses eight cover screws, which are included and thread into factory-tapped 6-32 UNC holes at a recommended 50-55 cN.m. For IP65, the ordering table lists the 1590FGASKET replacement kit; torque the lid to 25-30 cN.m and use 1590WMS100 stainless steel O-ring screws. The water-tight version is 1590WF, and flanged versions are 1590FF and 1590FFL.
RoHS and REACH compliant, shrink wrapped, with factory modification and STEP/IGES solid models available.
