The 1590E is a natural-finish 1590 Series diecast aluminum enclosure measuring a nominal 188 x 120 x 82 mm (7.4 x 4.72 x 3.23 in). Its 77 mm inside height makes it the deep option in the 188 x 120 mm footprint, useful for electronics designers housing taller components, stacked boards or terminal wiring.
The box and lid are cast from aluminum alloy, which is tough yet easy to machine, and the unpainted version is vibra finished to leave a smooth surface with no sharp edges. Lap joint construction where the lid meets the box protects against dust and splashing water, and the standard 1590E is designed to meet IP54.
Drawing dimensions are 188.00 x 120.00 x 82.00 mm overall, with an inside length of 177.67 mm, inside width of 109.67 mm and inside height of 77.00 mm. The maximum PC board is 175.67 x 107.67 mm, the lid is 4 mm (0.16 in) high, and side walls have a draft of 2° or less. Shipping weight is 1.29 lb (0.59 kg).
The enclosure comes with its box, lid and six cover screws in factory-tapped 6-32 UNC holes (50-55 cN.m recommended). Fit the 1590EGASKET kit with 1590WMS100 stainless steel O-ring screws, torqued to 25-30 cN.m, to reach an IP65 design, or order the gasketed 1590WE. Flanged versions are 1590EF (bottom plate) and 1590EFL (lid).
RoHS and REACH compliant, shrink wrapped, with factory modification and STEP/IGES models available.
