The 1590EBK is the textured black version of the 188 x 120 x 82 mm (7.4 x 4.72 x 3.23 in) 1590E diecast aluminum enclosure. It gives electronics builders and OEM product teams a deep, painted metal case with 77 mm of inside height for components, wiring and connectors.
The aluminum alloy box and lid are coated with tough polyester powder paint for a lasting finish, even after machining, and black screws are included. A lap joint where the lid meets the box keeps out dust and splashing water; the standard enclosure is designed to meet IP54, and the side walls have a draft of 2° or less for easy board mounting.

The 1590EBK ships with the box, lid and six cover screws for factory-tapped 6-32 UNC holes; recommended torque is 50-55 cN.m. The 1590EGASKET kit and black stainless steel O-ring screws 1590WMS100BK, with the lid torqued to 25-30 cN.m, give an IP65 design. The gasketed black version is 1590WEBK, and flanged versions are 1590EFBK and 1590EFLBK.
RoHS and REACH compliant, shrink wrapped; factory machining and printing are available, and solid models come in STEP or IGES.
