The 1590BSFL combines the deeper 1590BS body with a lid that includes its own mounting flange, in natural finish. With the flange integrated into the lid, the lid fastens to a wall, panel or frame and the box closes onto it, a layout suited to installers and OEM designers mounting compact electronics in fixed locations. The part page lists 4.41 x 2.38 x 1.65 in (112 x 60 x 42 mm).
Box and lid are diecast aluminum alloy, tough yet easy to machine. The unpainted version is vibra finished, leaving a smooth surface with no sharp edges.
The drawing shows an overall length of 138.00 mm [5.433 in] across the lid flange, an overall height of 42.00 mm [1.654 in] and inside dimensions of 106.47 x 54.97 x 38.00 mm [4.192 x 2.164 x 1.496 in]. Side walls have a draft angle of 2 degrees or less for easy PC board mounting; the part data gives maximum P.C. board figures of 52.97 mm and 104.47 mm.
A lap joint where lid and box meet protects against dust and splashing water, and this standard version is designed to meet IP54. Four 6-32 UNC cover screws thread into factory-tapped holes at 50-55 cN.m [71-78 ozf.in]. The water-tight version is 1590WBSFL; the 1590BGASKET kit can also upgrade the 1590BSFL to IP65.
Shipping weight is 0.31 lbs (0.14 kg), shrink wrapped. RoHS and REACH compliant, with STEP and IGES models available.
