The 1590BSFBK is the black textured, flanged-bottom version of the 1590BS diecast aluminum enclosure. It gives integrators and OEM engineers a painted metal housing that screws down through a welded base flange, with the deeper 38 mm internal height of the BS body. Part page size: 4.41 x 2.38 x 1.65 in (112 x 60 x 42 mm).
The diecast aluminum alloy box and lid are coated with a tough polyester powder paint that holds up even after machining, and black screws are included to enhance appearance.
With the flange, the drawing shows an overall length of 140.21 mm [5.520 in], a flange mounting hole spacing of 128.93 mm [5.076 in] and an overall height of 43.50 mm [1.713 in]. Inside there is 106.47 x 54.97 x 38.00 mm [4.192 x 2.164 x 1.496 in]. Side walls have a draft angle of 2 degrees or less for easy PC board mounting, and the part data lists maximum P.C. board figures of 52.97 mm and 104.47 mm.
A lap joint between lid and box protects against dust and splashing water; the standard 1590BSFBK is designed to meet IP54. Four 6-32 UNC screws thread into factory-tapped holes at 50-55 cN.m [71-78 ozf.in]. The water-tight equivalent is 1590WBSFBK, and the 1590BGASKET kit can upgrade this enclosure to IP65 with lid screws torqued to 25-30 cN.m.
It ships shrink wrapped at 0.34 lbs (0.15 kg) and is RoHS and REACH compliant.
