The 1590BSF is the flanged-bottom version of the deeper 1590BS diecast aluminum enclosure, in natural finish. A welded flange on the base lets installers and OEM engineers screw the box down to a panel, wall or chassis while the lid stays free for service access. The part page size is 4.41 x 2.38 x 1.65 in (112 x 60 x 42 mm).
Box and lid are made from diecast aluminum alloy, tough yet easy to machine. The unpainted version is vibra finished for a smooth surface with no sharp edges.

Side walls have a draft angle of 2 degrees or less for easy PC board mounting. The lid meets the box in a lap joint that protects against dust and splashing water, and the 1590BSF is designed to meet IP54. Four 6-32 UNC cover screws thread into factory-tapped holes; recommended torque is 50-55 cN.m [71-78 ozf.in]. For IP65, the water-tight equivalent is 1590WBSF, or the 1590BGASKET kit can be added after machining.
Shipping weight is 0.34 lbs (0.15 kg), packed in shrink wrap. RoHS and REACH compliant; STEP and IGES solid models are available.
