The 1590BS is a natural-finish diecast aluminum electronic instrument enclosure from the 1590 Series, with no mounting flanges. It shares the 1590B footprint but gives a deeper body: the part page lists 4.41 x 2.38 x 1.65 in (112 x 60 x 42 mm), and the drawing shows an inside height of 38.00 mm [1.496 in]. That makes it a good fit for electronics designers and OEM engineers whose boards and components need extra headroom.
Box and lid are diecast aluminum alloy, tough yet easy to machine. The unpainted version is vibra finished for a smooth surface with no sharp edges, ready for drilling, milling or painting.
Drawing dimensions are 112.00 x 60.50 x 42.00 mm outside and 106.47 x 54.97 x 38.00 mm [4.192 x 2.164 x 1.496 in] inside. Side walls have a draft angle of 2 degrees or less for easy PC board mounting, and the part data lists maximum P.C. board figures of 52.97 mm and 104.47 mm. The series ordering table lists nominal dimensions of 4.41 x 2.40 x 1.50 in (112 x 61 x 38 mm).
A lap joint where lid and box meet protects against dust and splashing water; the 1590BS is designed to meet IP54. Four 6-32 UNC cover screws thread into factory-tapped holes at 50-55 cN.m [71-78 ozf.in]. The water-tight version is 1590WBS, and the 1590BGASKET kit can upgrade this box to IP65.
Shipping weight is 0.5 lbs (0.23 kg), packaged in shrink wrap. RoHS and REACH compliant, with STEP and IGES models available.
