Hammond 1589T77C1 77-Inch 12-Outlet 20A Vertical PDU Strip

The 1589T77C1 is a 77 in. (1956 mm) vertical basic power distribution unit rated 20A at 120VAC, built for IT, AV and facilities teams that need to feed a full column of equipment from a single circuit. It carries 12 heavy-duty black NEMA 5-20R receptacles (single T-slot, rated 20A/125VAC) spaced equally over the length of the strip, with all 12 outlets on the front face and none on the rear.

This is the pilot-light version of the 77 in. strip: instead of an on/off switch it uses a power indicator light, plus a resettable 20 Amp circuit breaker. Power is supplied by an integral 6 ft heavy-duty 12/3 SJT cord with a molded NEMA L5-20P locking plug, suited to extreme temperature ranges. Operating temperature is -20 °C to +60 °C. The unit is not metered, has no surge protection, no shielded cord, no rotated outlets and is not hospital grade.

Construction is a low-profile slim anodized aluminum extrusion case with ABS plastic ends, supplied in a natural finish (black finish available upon request from the manufacturer). The rugged, lightweight aluminum body ships at 5.7 lbs (2.59 kg). A mounting bracket kit with hardware is included; additional hardware kits are available as P/N 1585CLIP.

1589T77C1 can be mounted vertically in server cabinets, wall mount cabinets and open frame racks, or horizontally above a work bench. Note that outlet strips cannot be used between the front and rear panel rails of rack cabinets, as the strip and equipment plugs will interfere with mounted equipment and accessories; allow sufficient depth behind the rear panel rails for vertical mounting to the struts.

The series is UL/cUL Listed to UL1363 and CSA C22.2 No. 308-14 (UL File # E166039), RoHS and REACH compliant, USMCA compliant, TAA-compliant for federal GSA schedule purchases within the USA, and manufactured in North America.
