Hammond 1589T77F1 77 in 12-Outlet Vertical PDU, 20A 5-20R

The 1589T77F1 is a 77 in long vertical basic PDU (power distribution outlet strip) rated 20A at 120VAC, built for IT, AV and facilities teams that need full-height power distribution inside a server cabinet, wall mount cabinet or open frame rack. It carries 12 heavy-duty black NEMA 5-20R receptacles, all on the front face, plus a power indicator (pilot light) version of the strip rather than an on/off switch, and a resettable 20 Amp circuit breaker.

Construction is a low-profile, slim anodized aluminum extrusion case with ABS plastic ends, keeping the strip rugged but light at a 9 lb (4.08 kg) shipping weight. The finish on this part number is Natural; black finish is available in the series upon request. The 1 in square receptacles are equally spaced over the length of the strip, and power is fed by a heavy duty 6 ft 12 gauge 12/3 SJT cord with an integral molded NEMA 5-20P straight blade plug, suitable for extreme temperature ranges. Operating temperature range is -20 C to +60 C.

Nominal strip length is 77.00 in (1956 mm); the drawing shows 1960.88 mm [77.200 in] for the case and 1967.69 mm [77.468 in] overall on the side assembly view, with a 41.05 mm [1.616 in] profile width and 29.18 mm [1.149 in] depth dimension. A mounting bracket kit with hardware is included; additional kits can be ordered as P/N 1585CLIP.

Per the series notes, outlet strips cannot be used between the front and rear panel rails of rack cabinets, as the strip and equipment plugs will interfere with mounted equipment and accessories — allow sufficient depth behind the rear rails for vertical mounting to the struts. The 1589T77F1 is UL Listed to UL1363, CSA certified, RoHS and REACH compliant, TAA-compliant for federal GSA schedule purchases within the USA, and manufactured in North America.
