Hammond 1589T77G1 77 in Vertical PDU, 12 Outlets, 20A 120V

The 1589T77G1 is a 77 in (1956 mm) vertical basic power distribution unit from the 1589H-T Series, rated 20A at 120VAC single-phase. It is built for IT, AV and facilities teams that need full-height power distribution inside server cabinets, wall mount cabinets and open frame racks, and it can also be mounted horizontally above a work bench.

The strip uses a low-profile slim design with an anodized aluminum extrusion case and ABS plastic ends, keeping the unit rugged but light weight. Heavy-duty black receptacles are rated 20A, 125VAC (NEMA 5-20R, single T-slot); the receptacle openings are 1 in square and are equally spaced over the length of the strip. This version is supplied with a pilot light (no on/off switch) plus a resettable 20 Amp circuit breaker, and the finish is Natural. Overall assembly length is 77.468 in (1967.69 mm), with a shipping weight of 6 lbs (2.72 kg).

Power input is a 15 ft cord with integral molded NEMA 5-20P straight blade plug, using heavy duty 12 gauge 12/3 SJT wire suited to extreme temperature ranges. Operating temperature range is -20 C to +60 C. There is no surge protection, metering or shielded cord on this model, and all outlets face the front.

A mounting bracket kit with hardware is included with the 1589T77G1; additional kits are available under P/N 1585CLIP. Per the series notes, outlet strips cannot be used between the front and rear panel rails of rack cabinets because they and the equipment plugs interfere with mounted equipment and accessories, so allow sufficient depth behind the rear rails for vertical mounting to the struts. The unit is UL Listed to UL1363, CSA certified, RoHS and REACH compliant, TAA-compliant for federal GSA schedule purchases within the USA, and manufactured in North America.
