Hammond 1589T70G124 70 in 24-Outlet Vertical PDU, 20A 5-20R

The 1589T70G124 is a 70 inch vertical basic PDU (outlet strip) rated 20A at 120VAC, built for IT, AV and facilities teams powering equipment in server cabinets, wall mount cabinets and open frame racks. It carries 24 heavy-duty black NEMA 5-20R receptacles (20A, 125VAC, single T-slot) spaced equally over the length of the strip, all on the front face, and uses a pilot light rather than an on/off switch so power status is visible at a glance.

Construction is a rugged, light weight anodized aluminum extrusion with ABS plastic ends in a natural finish, giving a low-profile slim body just 41.05 mm (1.616 in) wide. The strip length is 70.00 in (1778 mm), with an overall assembly length of 1789.89 mm (70.468 in). Shipping weight is 7 lbs (3.18 kg). A resettable 20 amp circuit breaker is built in, and the 15 ft heavy duty 12/3 SJT, 12 gauge cord with integral molded NEMA 5-20P straight blade plug is suited to extreme temperature ranges; operating temperature is -20 degrees C to +60 degrees C.

A mounting bracket kit with hardware is included, so the 1589T70G124 can be mounted vertically inside a cabinet or horizontally above a work bench. Additional hardware kits are available as P/N 1585CLIP. Per the manufacturer's notes, outlet strips cannot be used between the front and rear panel rails of rack cabinets, as the strip and equipment plugs will interfere with mounted equipment and accessories; allow sufficient depth behind the rear panel rails for vertical mounting to the struts.

The series is UL/cUL Listed to UL1363 and CSA C22.2 No. 308-14 (UL file E166039), CSA Certified to C22.2 No. 21-95 and 42-99, RoHS and REACH compliant, USMCA compliant and TAA-compliant for federal GSA schedule purchases within the USA.
