Hammond 1589T70C124 70 in 24-Outlet 20A Vertical PDU With Pilot Light

The 1589T70C124 is a 70 in (1778 mm) vertical basic PDU from the Hammond 1589H-T Series, rated 20A at 120VAC single-phase and fitted with NEMA 5-20R outlets. It is built for IT, AV and facilities teams that need straightforward, unmetered power distribution down the side of a server cabinet, wall mount cabinet or open frame rack, and it can also be mounted horizontally above a work bench.

This version uses a power indicator (pilot) light rather than an on/off switch, plus a resettable circuit breaker for overcurrent protection. Power is supplied through an integral 6 ft heavy duty 12/3 SJT cord with a molded NEMA L5-20P locking plug, so the strip stays connected in high-vibration or frequently serviced environments. The 12 gauge cord is specified for extreme temperature ranges, and the assembly operates from -20 °C to +60 °C.

Construction is a low-profile anodized aluminum extrusion in a natural finish with ABS plastic ends, giving a rugged but light weight strip (6 lbs / 2.72 kg shipping weight). Overall assembly length is 70.467 in (1789.86 mm) and the heavy-duty black receptacles are 1 in square, single T-slot, rated 20A/125VAC and equally spaced over the length of the strip. All outlets face the front; there are none on the rear.

A mounting bracket kit with hardware is included with the 1589T70C124; additional kits are available as P/N 1585CLIP. Note that outlet strips cannot be used between the front and rear panel rails of rack cabinets, as the strip and equipment plugs will interfere with mounted equipment and accessories — allow sufficient depth behind the rear rails for vertical mounting to the struts. The series is UL/cUL Listed to UL1363 and CSA C22.2 No. 308-14, RoHS and REACH compliant, TAA-compliant for federal GSA schedule purchases in the USA, and manufactured in North America.
