Hammond 1589T70D1 70 in Vertical PDU, 10 Outlets, L5-20P Plug

The 1589T70D1 is a 70 in (1778 mm) vertical basic PDU from the 1589H-T series, built for IT, AV and facilities teams that need straightforward 20A, 120VAC power distribution inside a server cabinet, wall mount cabinet or open frame rack. This pilot-light version has no on/off switch: a power indicator light shows the strip is live, and a resettable 20 Amp circuit breaker protects the connected load.

Construction is a low-profile anodized aluminum extrusion case with ABS plastic ends, keeping the strip rugged but light weight. The finish is natural (black is available upon request from the manufacturer). Heavy-duty black receptacles are rated 20A, 125VAC service (NEMA 5-20R, single T-slot), are 1 in square and are equally spaced over the length of the strip. The series ordering table and the part drawing show 10 outlets for this length, while the part attribute data lists a total of 7 outlets, all front-facing, with none on the rear.

Power comes in through an integral molded NEMA L5-20P locking plug on a 15 ft heavy duty 12/3 SJT cord rated for extreme temperature ranges, with an operating temperature range of -20 degrees C to +60 degrees C. Overall assembly length on the drawing is 70.468 in (1789.89 mm), and shipping weight is 7 lbs (3.18 kg).

A mounting bracket kit with hardware is included with 1589T70D1; additional kits can be ordered as part number 1585CLIP. Note that outlet strips cannot be used between the front and rear panel rails of rack cabinets, as they and the equipment plugs will interfere with mounted equipment and accessories; allow sufficient depth behind the rear panel rails for vertical mounting to the struts. The unit is UL/cUL Listed to UL1363 and CSA C22.2 No. 308-14, RoHS and REACH compliant, TAA-compliant for federal GSA schedule purchases within the USA, and manufactured in North America.
