Hammond 1589T48G116 48-Inch 16-Outlet Vertical PDU, 20A 5-20R

The 1589T48G116 is a 48 in (1219 mm) vertical basic power distribution unit with 16 NEMA 5-20R receptacles, rated 20A at 120VAC single-phase. It is built for IT, AV and facilities teams that need straightforward plug-and-play power distribution inside server cabinets, wall mount cabinets and open frame racks, or mounted horizontally above a work bench.

The low-profile slim housing is an anodized aluminum extrusion in a natural finish with ABS plastic end caps, keeping the strip rugged but light. All 16 outlets face the front of the strip (none on the rear), are 1 in square and are equally spaced over the length of the unit. This is the pilot light version of the design: instead of an on/off switch it carries a power indicator light, plus a resettable 20 amp circuit breaker. The matching switched version of this configuration is 1589H48G116.

Power comes from an attached 15 ft heavy duty 12/3 SJT cord with an integral molded NEMA 5-20P straight blade plug, suitable for extreme temperature ranges. Operating temperature range is -20 C to +60 C. Overall assembly length is 48.468 in (1231.09 mm) and shipping weight is 6 lbs (2.72 kg).

A mounting bracket kit with hardware is included; additional kits can be ordered as P/N 1585CLIP. Note that outlet strips cannot be used between the front and rear panel rails of rack cabinets, as the strip and equipment plugs will interfere with mounted equipment and accessories; allow sufficient depth behind the rear panel rails when mounting vertically to the struts.
