Hammond 1589T48F1 48 in 8-Outlet Vertical PDU, 20A 5-20R

The 1589T48F1 is a 48 inch vertical basic PDU (outlet strip) rated 20A at 120VAC, built for IT and AV integrators, electricians, facilities teams and OEM engineers who need straightforward rack power distribution without metering or switching. It carries eight 20A/125V NEMA 5-20R receptacles, all on the front face, spaced equally over the length of the strip, and a power indicator (pilot light) rather than an on/off switch.

Construction is a low-profile, slim anodized aluminum extrusion with ABS plastic ends, keeping the unit rugged but light at a 6 lb (2.72 kg) shipping weight. The receptacles are heavy-duty black, 1 inch square, single T-slot 5-20R, and a resettable 20 amp circuit breaker protects the strip. Power is supplied by a 6 ft heavy-duty 12 gauge 12/3 SJT cord with an integral molded NEMA 5-20P straight-blade plug, suited to wide temperature ranges; operating temperature is -20 C to +60 C.

The nominal strip length is 48.00 in (1219 mm), with the drawing showing an overall assembly length of 1231.19 mm [48.472 in] and a case length of 1224.28 mm [48.200 in]. Every 1589T48F1 outlet strip ships with a mounting bracket kit and hardware; additional kits are available as P/N 1585CLIP.

Mount it vertically in server cabinets, wall mount cabinets and open frame racks, or horizontally above a work bench. Note that outlet strips cannot be used between the front and rear panel rails of rack cabinets, since the strip and equipment plugs will interfere with mounted equipment and accessories; allow sufficient depth behind the rear panel rails when mounting vertically to the struts.
