Hammond 1589H8G1BKRRV 1U 20A PDU, 8 Rear 5-20R Outlets, Shielded Cord

The 1589H8G1BKRRV is a 1U horizontal rackmount power distribution unit (PDU) for 19-inch racks and cabinets, built for IT, networking, AV, telecom, test and industrial equipment that needs 20A single-phase power. All eight NEMA 5-20R receptacles face the rear of the unit, placing power connections directly behind rack-mounted gear for shorter cord runs and tidier cable management. The heavy-duty 5-20R receptacles are rated 20A, 125VAC and accept both NEMA 5-15P and 5-20P equipment plugs.

Power is supplied through a 15 ft shielded power cord terminated in a straight-blade NEMA 5-20P plug. The shielded cord uses aluminum Mylar foil with 100% coverage and a 20-gauge drain wire, which helps reduce electrical interference in sensitive installations. Cord construction for the series is 12/3 SJT. An illuminated on/off rocker switch provides clear visual indication of operating status, and an integrated resettable circuit breaker helps protect against accidental electrical overload. This model is not metered and does not include surge protection.

Construction is black painted steel front and back, with the series' textured RAL9005 black powder coat finish that meets applicable GREENGUARD indoor air quality and RoHS requirements. Overall dimensions are 1.72 in (44 mm) high by 19.00 in (483 mm) wide by 2.66 in (68 mm) deep, so the 1589H8G1BKRRV mounts directly into a single rack unit of standard 19-inch rack rails. Shipping weight is 5.5 lbs (2.49 kg).

The unit is rated 125 VAC, 60 Hz, 20 Amps, operates from -20°C to +60°C, and is cURus recognized to UL 1363 and CSA C22.2 No. 308-14 under UL File E166039. It is made in Canada, USMCA compliant, RoHS and REACH compliant, and TAA compliant for applicable U.S. federal procurement.
