Hammond 1589H8D1BKRRV 1U 8-Outlet 20A Rear PDU, Shielded Cord

The 1589H8D1BKRRV is a 1U horizontal rackmount power distribution unit that delivers 20A single-phase power to equipment mounted in standard 19-inch racks and cabinets. All eight NEMA 5-20R receptacles face the rear of the unit, placing power connections directly behind servers, switches, AV gear and test instruments where most equipment cords terminate. It is intended for IT, networking, telecom, AV, test and industrial users who need higher-current branch distribution without consuming extra rack space.

Power is fed through an included 15 ft, 12/3 SJT cord fitted with a NEMA L5-20P locking plug, so the connection to the branch circuit resists accidental disconnection. This model uses a shielded cord with 100% aluminum Mylar foil coverage and a 20-gauge drain wire to help reduce electrical interference. A resettable circuit breaker guards against accidental overload, and an illuminated on/off rocker switch gives a clear indication of operating status. This version is not metered and does not include surge protection.

Construction is black painted steel front and back with a textured RAL9005 black powder coat finish that meets applicable GREENGUARD indoor air quality and RoHS requirements.
