Hammond 1589H8D1BKRF 1U 8-Outlet 20A Rack PDU, L5-20P Locking Plug

The 1589H8D1BKRF is a 1U horizontal rackmount power distribution unit that provides eight NEMA 5-20R outlets on the front panel for equipment mounted in standard 19-inch racks and cabinets. It is intended for IT, networking, AV, telecom, test and industrial equipment that needs 20A single-phase power distribution inside the rack, and the 5-20R receptacles accept both NEMA 5-15P and 5-20P equipment plugs.

Construction is black painted steel front and back, finished in a textured RAL9005 black powder coat that meets applicable GREENGUARD indoor air quality and RoHS requirements. The unit measures 19.00 in (483 mm) wide by 1.72 in (44 mm) high by 2.66 in (68 mm) deep, with the drawing showing 482.60 mm [19.000 in] overall width, 43.64 mm [1.718 in] height and 67.58 mm [2.661 in] depth. Power is supplied through a 15 ft cord terminated in a NEMA L5-20P locking plug, using 12/3 SJT cord construction. The unit is rated 20A, 125 VAC, 60 Hz (rated voltage listed as 120VAC in the part data) and includes an on/off rocker power switch and a resettable circuit breaker to help protect against accidental electrical overload. This model is not metered, not surge protected, does not use a shielded cord, is not hospital grade, and does not have rotated outlets.

Mounting is directly into a 19-inch rack via the 1U panel, placing all eight outlets at the front of the rack where equipment connections are made.
