Hammond 1589H8D1BKRR 1U 20A PDU, 8 Rear 5-20R Outlets, L5-20P

The 1589H8D1BKRR is a 1U horizontal rackmount power distribution unit that delivers 20A single-phase power inside standard 19-inch racks and cabinets. All eight NEMA 5-20R receptacles face the rear of the unit (0 front, 8 rear), making it suited to installations where equipment power cords are terminated behind the rack and the front panel should stay clear. It is intended for IT, networking, AV, telecom, test and industrial rack builds.

Power is fed by an integral 15 ft cord with a NEMA L5-20P locking plug, so the connection to the branch circuit will not be pulled loose accidentally. The series uses 12/3 SJT cord construction. A front-mounted on/off rocker switch controls the outlets, and a resettable circuit breaker helps protect against accidental electrical overload. The heavy-duty 5-20R receptacles are rated 20A, 125VAC and accept both NEMA 5-15P and 5-20P equipment plugs. This model is not metered, not surge protected, does not use a shielded cord, and is not hospital grade.

Construction is black painted steel front and back, in black, with the series specifying a textured RAL9005 black powder coat finish that meets applicable GREENGUARD indoor air quality and RoHS requirements. Overall dimensions are 1.72 in (44 mm) high by 19.00 in (483 mm) wide by 2.66 in (68 mm) deep, with 17.500 in between mounting hole centres on the drawing and a shipping weight of 5.25 lbs (2.38 kg).

1589H8D1BKRR is rated 125 VAC, 60 Hz, 20 Amps, CSA certified to C22.2 (No. 21-95, 42-99) and UL recognized to UL 1363 under UL file E166039. It is TAA compliant, USMCA compliant, RoHS and REACH compliant, and made in Canada.
