Hammond 1589H48G116 48-Inch 16-Outlet Vertical PDU, 20A 120V

The 1589H48G116 is a 48 in. (1219 mm) vertical basic PDU from the 1589H-T Series, built for IT, AV and facilities teams that need to distribute 20A, 120V single-phase power to a full column of equipment. It carries 16 NEMA 5-20R receptacles, all on the front face, spaced equally over the length of the strip, and is fed by an integral 15 ft heavy-duty power cord with a molded NEMA 5-20P straight-blade plug.

Construction is a low-profile, slim anodized aluminum extrusion with ABS plastic end caps, giving a rugged but light-weight assembly with a natural finish and a shipping weight of 6 lbs (2.72 kg). Receptacles are 1 in. square, heavy-duty black and rated 20A, 125VAC service (single T-slot). The supply cord is 12 gauge 12/3 SJT for extreme temperature ranges, and the operating temperature range is -20 °C to +60 °C. The drawing shows an overall assembly length of 1231.09 mm [48.468 in] with a 1224.28 mm [48.200 in] case length.

This version is the on/off rocker switch model; a resettable 20 Amp circuit breaker is built in. The pilot-light equivalent is 1589T48G116. A mounting bracket kit with hardware is included, so the 1589H48G116 can be mounted vertically in server cabinets, wall mount cabinets and open frame racks, or run horizontally above a work bench. • Note: outlet strips cannot be used between the front and rear panel rails of rack cabinets, as the strip and equipment plugs will interfere with mounted equipment and accessories.
• Allow sufficient depth behind the rear panel rails for vertical mounting to the cabinet struts.

The strip is UL Listed to UL1363 and CSA Certified (C22.2), RoHS and REACH compliant, TAA-compliant for federal GSA schedule purchases within the USA, and manufactured in North America.
