Hammond 1589H48G1 48" 8-Outlet 20A Vertical Power Strip

The 1589H48G1 is a 48 in (1219 mm) vertical basic PDU from the 1589H-T Series, built for IT, AV and facilities teams who need straightforward 20A power distribution inside a server cabinet, wall mount cabinet or open frame rack. It provides eight NEMA 5-20R receptacles (all eight on the front face, none on the rear), a 20 Amp resettable circuit breaker and an on/off rocker switch, and it terminates in a 15 ft 12/3 SJT cord with an integral molded NEMA 5-20P straight blade plug.

The low-profile slim housing is a rugged, light weight anodized aluminum extrusion in a natural finish, with ABS plastic ends. Receptacles are 1 in square, heavy-duty black and equally spaced over the length of the strip, rated 20A/125VAC. The drawing gives an overall assembly length of 1231.19 mm (48.472 in), with the extrusion at 1224.28 mm (48.200 in), and shipping weight is 5.5 lbs (2.49 kg). The 12 gauge cord suits extreme temperature ranges, and the unit operates from -20 C to +60 C.

A mounting bracket kit with hardware is included with each outlet strip for vertical mounting; additional hardware kits can be ordered as P/N 1585CLIP. Per the series notes, outlet strips cannot be used between the front and rear panel rails of rack cabinets because the strip and equipment plugs interfere with mounted equipment and accessories \u2014 allow sufficient depth behind the rear panel rails for vertical mounting to the struts. The strip can also be mounted horizontally above a work bench.

1589H48G1 is UL Listed to UL1363 and CSA Certified (C22.2 No. 21-95, 42-99; CSA C22.2 No. 308-14 per the series sheet), under UL file E166039. It is RoHS and REACH compliant, USMCA compliant, TAA-compliant for federal GSA schedule purchases within the USA, and manufactured in North America. Black finish is available upon request.
