Hammond 1589H36G1 36-Inch 6-Outlet 20A Vertical Power Strip

The 1589H36G1 is a 36 inch vertical basic power distribution unit with six 20A/125V NEMA 5-20R receptacles, rated 20 amps at 120VAC. It is intended for IT, AV and electrical teams that need straightforward, unmetered power distribution inside server cabinets, wall mount cabinets and open frame racks, or mounted horizontally above a work bench.

Construction is a low-profile slim anodized aluminum extrusion case with ABS plastic end caps, keeping the strip rugged but light. The receptacles are 1 inch square, heavy-duty black, single T-slot NEMA 5-20R, and are equally spaced over the length of the strip; all six outlets face the front. Control is by an on/off rocker power switch, with a resettable 20 amp circuit breaker for overcurrent protection. The companion pilot-light version of this length and configuration is 1589T36G1.

Overall assembly length is 926.39 mm (36.472 in) with a 919.48 mm (36.200 in) case body, and a cross section of 41.05 mm (1.616 in) by 29.18 mm (1.149 in). Shipping weight is 5 lbs (2.27 kg). Power is supplied by an integral 15 foot heavy duty 12 gauge 12/3 SJT cord with molded NEMA 5-20P straight blade plug, suitable for extreme temperature ranges; operating temperature is -20 C to +60 C.

A mounting bracket kit with hardware is included with the 1589H36G1; additional kits are available as P/N 1585CLIP. Outlet strips cannot be used between the front and rear panel rails of rack cabinets, as the strip and equipment plugs will interfere with mounted equipment and accessories, so allow sufficient depth behind the rear panel rails for vertical mounting to the struts. The unit is UL Listed to UL1363, CSA Certified, TAA-compliant, RoHS and REACH compliant, and manufactured in North America.
