Hammond 1588H12A1S 77-Inch 12-Outlet Vertical PDU With Surge

The 1588H12A1S is a vertical basic power distribution unit with surge protection, built for IT, AV and OEM teams that need clean 120V distribution inside a server cabinet, wall mount cabinet or open frame rack. It carries 12 NEMA 5-15R receptacles on a 77.00 in (1956 mm) strip, is rated 125 VAC, 60 Hz, 15 Amps, and ships with a 6 ft power cord terminated in an integral molded NEMA 5-15P straight blade plug.

The low-profile slim housing is an anodized aluminum extrusion with ABS plastic ends, keeping the unit rugged but light at a 5.5 lbs (2.49 kg) shipping weight. All 12 outlets face the front of the strip, are 1 in square and are equally spaced over the length of the assembly at 5.000 in (127.00 mm) typical centres. Controls include an on/off rocker switch, a resettable 15 Amp circuit breaker and a green surge indicator light.

Surge protection is delivered by 25000 Amp rated MOVs for a total of 75,000 Amps of single pulse transient current, with 1080 J maximum energy, a 500V Voltage Protection Rating in all three modes (L-N, L-G, N-G) and a 5kA nominal discharge current. If the surge module reaches the end of its useful life, internal protection disconnects it and extinguishes the green light while maintaining power to the load, now unprotected.

A mounting bracket kit with hardware is included with the 1588H12A1S; additional kits are available as P/N 1585CLIP. The strip can also be installed horizontally above a work bench. The unit is cULus Listed to UL 1449 & C22.2 No. 269.3-17 for Type 3 Surge Protective Devices and to UL 1363 & C22.2 No. 308-18 for Relocatable Power Taps and Multi Outlet Assemblies, is TAA-compliant for federal GSA schedule purchases within the USA, RoHS and REACH compliant, and manufactured in North America.
