The 1587T24B1 is a 70 in (1778 mm) vertical basic PDU with 24 NEMA 5-15R outlets, rated 15 amps at 125VAC, 60 Hz. It is built for IT, AV and telecom racks where a long run of single-phase 120V receptacles is needed down the side of a cabinet or open frame, and it can also be used horizontally on a workbench.
All 24 outlets face the front; there are no rear outlets and no rotated receptacles. Receptacles are 1 in square and equally spaced over the length of the strip. This version uses a power indicator light rather than a rocker switch, together with a resettable 15 amp circuit breaker. The companion on-off switch model in the same size and cord length is 1587H24B1.
Construction is a low-profile slim anodized aluminum extrusion with ABS plastic end caps, keeping the unit rugged but lightweight. The case measures 1783.08 mm (70.200 in) long with an overall assembly length of 1789.86 mm (70.467 in) and a 41.05 mm (1.616 in) wide profile. Shipping weight is 5 lbs (2.27 kg). Colour is natural (anodized) aluminum.
Power is supplied by a heavy duty 15 ft, 14/3 SJT type cord suited to extreme temperature ranges, with an integral moulded NEMA 5-15P straight blade plug. A mounting bracket kit with hardware is included with 1587T24B1; additional hardware kits are available under P/N 1585CLIP.
