Hammond 1587T24A1 70-Inch 24-Outlet Vertical PDU With Pilot Light

The 1587T24A1 is a 70-inch vertical basic PDU with 24 NEMA 5-15R outlets, built for IT, AV and electrical professionals who need dependable 15 A, 125 VAC power distribution down the full height of a rack or cabinet. This version is supplied with a power indicator (pilot) light rather than an on-off rocker switch, and includes a resettable circuit breaker.

Construction is a low-profile, slim anodized aluminum extrusion with ABS plastic end caps, keeping the strip rugged yet lightweight. The receptacles are 1" square and equally spaced over the length of the strip, and all 24 outlets face the front. The finish is natural, and the drawing gives a strip length of 1783.08 mm [70.200 in] with an overall assembly length of 1789.86 mm [70.467 in]; the ordering table lists the nominal strip length as 70.00 in (1778 mm).

Power is supplied by a 6 ft moulded cord terminating in a NEMA 5-15P straight blade plug; the series uses heavy duty 14 gauge 14/3 SJT cord suited to wide temperature ranges. The unit is rated 125 VAC, 60 Hz, 15 amps and is not surge protected, not metered and not hospital grade.
