Hammond 1587H10B1 70-Inch 10-Outlet 15A Vertical Power Strip

The 1587H10B1 is a 70" vertical basic PDU (outlet strip) with 10 NEMA 5-15R receptacles, rated 15 A at 125 VAC, 60 Hz single-phase. It is built for IT, AV and electrical installers who need long-run power distribution alongside equipment in a rack or cabinet, and it can also be used horizontally on a workbench.

Construction is a low-profile slim design: the case is an anodized aluminum extrusion in a natural finish with ABS plastic ends, keeping the strip rugged but lightweight at a 4.2 lb (1.91 kg) shipping weight. The receptacles are 1" square and equally spaced over the length of the strip, with a typical 5.000 in (127.00 mm) outlet pitch. All 10 outlets face the front; there are no rear outlets and no rotated outlets.

Power comes in through a heavy-duty 14 gauge, 14/3 SJT cord with an integral moulded NEMA 5-15P straight-blade plug, supplied in a 15 ft length for reaching a remote receptacle. An illuminated-free on/off rocker switch controls the load, and a resettable 15 A circuit breaker provides overcurrent protection. This version of 1587H10B1 is not surge protected and is not metered or hospital grade.
