Hammond 1586T12A1BK 60-Inch Vertical PDU, 12 Outlets, 15A Black

The 1586T12A1BK is a 60-inch vertical basic PDU (outlet strip) with twelve NEMA 5-15R receptacles, rated 125 VAC, 60 Hz, 15 amps. It is intended for IT, AV and electrical installers who need to distribute single-phase 120/125 V power along the full height of a rack or cabinet, and it can also be used horizontally on a workbench.

Construction is a low-profile, slim black painted aluminum extrusion with ABS plastic end caps, keeping the unit rugged but lightweight at a 4.5 lbs (2.04 kg) shipping weight. All twelve outlets are on the front face (no rear outlets), are 1 in square and are equally spaced over the length of the strip, with a typical outlet-to-outlet spacing of 4.500 in (114.30 mm). The strip length is 60.00 in (1524 mm); the drawing shows an overall assembled length of 60.468 in (1535.89 mm), a body width of 1.616 in (41.05 mm) and a depth of 1.143 in (29.03 mm).

This version uses a power indicator pilot light rather than a rocker switch, plus a resettable 15 amp circuit breaker. Power is supplied by an integral moulded NEMA 5-15P straight-blade plug on a 6 ft, heavy-duty 14/3 SJT cord suited to extreme temperature ranges. It is unshielded and not surge protected.

A mounting bracket kit with hardware is included with the 1586T12A1BK; additional hardware kits are available as P/N 1585CLIP. The unit is UL Listed to UL1363 (UL File E166039) and CSA Certified to C22.2 No. 21-95 and No. 42-99, is TAA-compliant for federal GSA schedule purchases in the USA, and is RoHS, REACH and USMCA compliant.
