Hammond 1586H10B1 60-Inch 10-Outlet Vertical Power Strip, 15A

The 1586H10B1 is a 60 in. vertical basic PDU (outlet strip) with ten NEMA 5-15R receptacles, rated 125 VAC, 60 Hz, 15 amps. It is intended for IT, AV and electrical installers who need to distribute single-phase 120/125 V power up the height of a rack or cabinet, and for OEM and workbench users who want a long, slim multi-outlet strip. All ten outlets face the front; there are no rear outlets.

Construction is a low-profile anodized aluminum extrusion with ABS plastic ends, finished in Natural. The design is described by Hammond as rugged and lightweight, and the strip can also be used horizontally on a workbench. Shipping weight is 4 lbs (1.81 kg). The drawing shows a strip length of 1529.08 mm [60.200 in] and an overall assembly length of 1535.89 mm [60.468 in] against the nominal 60.00 in (1524 mm) size, with the 1 in. square receptacles equally spaced over the length of the strip.

Power is supplied by a captive 15 ft heavy-duty 14/3 SJT cord with an integral moulded NEMA 5-15P straight-blade plug, suited to extreme temperature ranges. 1586H10B1 uses an on/off rocker switch and includes a resettable 15 A circuit breaker. Surge protection is not fitted on this model, and it is not a hospital-grade or metered unit.
