Hammond 1585T8B1BK 48-Inch Black Vertical PDU Strip, 8 Outlets

The 1585T8B1BK is a 48-inch vertical basic PDU (outlet strip) rated 125 VAC, 60 Hz, 15 amps, supplying eight NEMA 5-15R outlets from a single 15 ft moulded NEMA 5-15P cord. It is aimed at IT and AV integrators, electricians and facilities teams who need straightforward, unmanaged power distribution inside a rack or cabinet, and it can also be laid horizontally on a workbench.

Construction is a black painted aluminum extrusion with ABS plastic end caps, giving a low-profile slim body that is rugged yet lightweight. This version has no on/off switch; instead it uses a power indicator (pilot) light plus a resettable 15 amp circuit breaker. The heavy duty 14/3 SJT cord is specified for extreme temperature ranges and has an integral moulded plug.

All eight receptacles face the front (no rear outlets) and are 1 in square, equally spaced along the strip at 127.00 mm [5.000 in] typical centres. The case measures 1224.28 mm [48.200 in], with an overall assembly length of 1231.19 mm [48.472 in] and a nominal strip length of 48.00 in (1219 mm). Shipping weight is 4 lbs (1.81 kg).
