The 1585T8A1BK is a 48 in (1219 mm) vertical basic PDU with eight NEMA 5-15R outlets, rated 15 amps at 125VAC, 60 Hz. It is intended for IT, AV and electrical installers who need straightforward single-phase power distribution down the side of a rack or cabinet, and it can also be laid horizontally on a workbench. All eight receptacles face the front; there are no rear outlets.
Construction is a black painted aluminum extrusion with ABS plastic end caps, giving a low-profile slim design in rugged lightweight aluminum. The 1” square receptacles are equally spaced over the length of the strip, with a typical 127.00 mm (5.000 in) spacing shown on the drawing. Instead of a rocker switch, this version uses a power indicator (pilot) light, and it includes a resettable 15 amp circuit breaker.
Power is supplied by an attached 6 ft cord — heavy duty 14 gauge, 14/3 SJT type for extreme temperature ranges with an integral moulded NEMA 5-15P straight blade plug. This model is not surge protected, not metered, not hospital grade, has no rotated outlets and the cord is unshielded.

A mounting bracket kit with hardware is included with the 1585T8A1BK; additional hardware kits are available as P/N 1585CLIP.
