Hammond 1585T8B1 15A 48" 8-Outlet Vertical PDU, Pilot Light

The 1585T8B1 is a 48-inch vertical basic PDU (power outlet strip) rated 15 amps at 125VAC, supplying eight NEMA 5-15R front-facing outlets from a single 15 ft NEMA 5-15P cord. It is aimed at IT and AV integrators, electricians, OEM engineers and facilities teams who need to distribute 120V single-phase power along the full height of a rack, cabinet or relay rack without a switched or metered PDU.

Construction is a low-profile slim anodized aluminum extrusion with ABS plastic end caps, giving a rugged but lightweight assembly in a Natural finish. The receptacles are 1 in. square and equally spaced over the length of the strip, so equipment cords and small transformers can be spread out. This version uses a power indicator light rather than a rocker switch, and includes a resettable 15 amp circuit breaker. The cord is heavy duty 14 gauge 14/3 SJT type for extreme temperature ranges, with an integral moulded plug.

The extrusion measures 1224.28 mm [48.200 in] long, with an overall assembly length of 1231.19 mm [48.472 in] and a compact end profile of 41.05 mm [1.616 in] x 29.18 mm [1.149 in]. Shipping weight is 3 lbs (1.36 kg). A mounting bracket kit with hardware is included for vertical installation; additional hardware kits are available as P/N 1585CLIP. The same strip can also be used horizontally on a workbench.

1585T8B1 is cULus recognized under UL File E166039, UL Listed to Standard UL1363 and CSA Certified to C22.2 (No. 21-95, 42-99). It is TAA-compliant for federal GSA schedule purchases within the USA, RoHS and REACH compliant, USMCA compliant and manufactured in North America. This model is not surge protected, not metered and not hospital grade, and the outlets are not rotated.
