Hammond 1585H16A1 48-Inch 16-Outlet Vertical Power Strip, 15A

The 1585H16A1 is a 48-inch vertical basic PDU with 16 NEMA 5-15R outlets, rated 15 amps at 125VAC, 60 Hz. It is built for IT and AV integrators, electricians, OEM engineers and facilities teams who need to distribute single-phase 120V power to rack-mounted equipment, and its low-profile slim design also allows it to be used horizontally on a workbench.

Construction is a rugged, lightweight anodized aluminum extrusion case with ABS plastic ends. The 16 receptacles are 1" square and equally spaced over the length of the strip, all facing the front (16 front, 0 rear), with no rotated outlets. An on/off rocker switch and a resettable circuit breaker are fitted; this version is not surge protected and is not metered or hospital grade. Colour is natural.

Nominal strip length is 48.00 in (1219 mm), with an overall assembly length of 1231.09 mm [48.468 in] per the part drawing. Shipping weight is 4 lbs (1.81 kg). Power is supplied through an integral moulded NEMA 5-15P straight-blade plug on a 6 ft heavy duty 14 gauge 14/3 SJT cord suited to extreme temperature ranges; the cord is unshielded.

Each outlet strip includes a mounting bracket kit with hardware for vertical installation; order P/N 1585CLIP if an additional hardware kit is required. If a pilot light is preferred instead of the rocker switch, the equivalent part in the series is 1585T16A1.

1585H16A1 is UL Listed to Standard UL1363 (UL File # E166039) and CSA Certified to C22.2 (No. 21-95, 42-99), carries cULus and TAA-compliant standards for federal GSA schedule purchases within the USA, and is RoHS, REACH and USMCA compliant. Manufactured in North America; country of origin Canada.
