Hammond 1583T6B1BKAM 1U 6-Outlet 15A Metered Rack PDU, Rear Facing

The 1583T6B1BKAM is a 1U horizontal rack mount basic PDU for 19-inch racks and cabinets, built for IT, AV and OEM installations that need straightforward single-phase 125V power distribution from the rear of the rack. It carries six NEMA 5-15R outlets, all rear facing, and is rated 125 VAC, 60 Hz, 15 Amps (rated voltage listed as 120 VAC in the part attributes).

This version is the pilot-light variant of the 1583 series: instead of an illuminated on/off rocker switch it uses a red power indicator light, so the strip cannot be accidentally switched off. It is also the metered build, adding an easy-to-read red LED ammeter with 0.37 in high digits in a 1.38 in x 0.88 in display and accuracy of +/- 0.1 Amps, letting technicians see the load on the strip without extra instrumentation. A resettable 15 Amp, 125 VAC circuit breaker guards against accidental overload.

Construction is black painted steel front and back, finished in RAL9005 black powder coat that complies with Greenguard guidelines for indoor air quality. Overall dimensions are 1.72 in (44 mm) high, 19.00 in (483 mm) wide and 2.66 in (68 mm) deep, with a 17.500 in mounting hole centre span, and shipping weight is 4.25 lbs (1.93 kg).

Power is supplied through a heavy-duty 14/3 SJT cord rated for extreme temperature ranges with an integral moulded NEMA 5-15P straight-blade plug; the series ordering table and the 1583T6B1BKAM drawing both show a 15 ft cord.
