Hammond 1583T6D1 1U 15A Rack PDU, 6 Rear Outlets, Locking Plug

The 1583T6D1 is a 1U horizontal rack mount basic PDU (outlet strip) for 19-inch racks and cabinets, giving IT, AV, broadcast and OEM installers a simple way to distribute single-phase 125 VAC power to equipment inside an enclosure. All six NEMA 5-15R outlets face the rear of the unit, so cords stay behind the panel line and out of the working area at the front of the rack.

This version is supplied with a 15 ft power cord terminated in a NEMA L5-15P locking plug, making it suited to installations where a twist-lock connection to the branch circuit is preferred. The cord is heavy-duty 14 gauge, 14/3 SJT type for extreme temperature ranges with an integral moulded plug. A resettable 15 Amp, 125 VAC circuit breaker is built in to guard against accidental overload, and a pilot light confirms power is present; there is no on/off rocker switch on this model.

Construction is painted steel finished in ASA 61 grey on both the front and back, and the finish complies with the Greenguard guidelines for indoor air quality. Overall dimensions are 1.718 in (43.64 mm) high by 19.000 in (482.60 mm) wide by 2.661 in (67.58 mm) deep, and shipping weight is 4.47 lbs (2.03 kg).

The 1583T6D1 is rated 125 VAC, 60 Hz, 15 Amps and is UL Recognized to Standard UL1363 and CSA Certified to C22.2 (No. 21-95, 42-99) under UL file E166039. It is manufactured in North America, TAA-compliant for federal GSA schedule purchases within the USA, USMCA compliant, and RoHS and REACH compliant. This model does not include surge protection, shielded cord, an ammeter or rotated outlets.
