Hammond 1583H8B1BKX 1U 8-Outlet Rack PDU, 15A, 15 ft Cord

The 1583H8B1BKX is a 1U horizontal 19-inch rack mount basic PDU rated 15A at 120 VAC, built for IT, AV, broadcast and industrial racks that need straightforward power distribution without metering or network management. It provides eight NEMA 5-15R outlets split between the rear of the unit (6 outlets) and the front panel (2 outlets), so equipment cords can be dressed at the back while two convenient positions remain accessible from the rack face.

Power is supplied through a 15 ft heavy-duty 14/3 SJT cord with an integral moulded NEMA 5-15P straight-blade plug, rated for extreme temperature ranges. An illuminated on/off rocker switch controls the outlet strip, and a 15 Amp, 125 VAC circuit breaker is included to protect against accidental overload. This version of the 1583 Series is not surge protected, not amp metered, has a non-shielded cord and uses standard (non-rotated) outlet orientation.

Overall dimensions are 1.72 in (44 mm) high, 19.00 in (483 mm) wide and 2.66 in (68 mm) deep, occupying a single rack unit in a standard 19-inch rack, cabinet or open frame. Shipping weight is 4.5 lbs (2.04 kg). The unit is finished in black powder coat, and the series finishes comply with Greenguard guidelines for indoor air quality.
