Hammond 1583H6B1BK 1U 6-Outlet 15A Rear-Facing Rack PDU, Black

The 1583H6B1BK is a 1U horizontal 19-inch rack mount basic PDU (outlet strip) with six rear-facing NEMA 5-15R outlets, rated 15 A at 125 VAC, 60 Hz. It is designed for power distribution from the rear of the unit, making it suited to IT, AV and telecom racks where patch cords and equipment power leads are dressed at the back of the cabinet.

Power is supplied through an integral 15 ft moulded NEMA 5-15P straight-blade cord, using heavy-duty 14 gauge 14/3 SJT type wire rated for extreme temperature ranges. A resettable 15 Amp, 125 VAC circuit breaker guards against accidental overload, and a lighted on/off rocker switch provides local control and visual confirmation of power. This version has no surge protection, no shielded cord, no ammeter and no rotated outlets.

Construction is steel with black painted front and back panels; the series finish is RAL9005 black powder coat, which complies with the Greenguard guidelines for indoor air quality. Overall dimensions are 1.72 in (44 mm) high by 19.00 in (483 mm) wide by 2.66 in (68 mm) deep, with a 17.500 in (444.50 mm) mounting hole spacing shown on the drawing and a shipping weight of 4.25 lbs (1.93 kg).

The 1583H6B1BK is CSA Certified to Standards C22.2 (No. 21-95, 42-99) and UL Recognized to Standard UL1363 (UL File # E166039); the series is also noted as UL/cUL recognized to UL1363 and CSA C22.2 No. 308-14 and No. 0.4-04.
