Hammond 1583H6B1BKRA 1U 6-Outlet Rotated PDU, 15A, 15 ft Cord

The 1583H6B1BKRA is a 1U horizontal 19-inch rack mount basic PDU (outlet strip) rated 15 A at 120 VAC single-phase, built for IT, AV and OEM installations that need straightforward power distribution from the rear of a rack or cabinet. All six NEMA 5-15R receptacles face the rear, and they are rotated with extra spacing so that most plug-in transformers and wall-wart style supplies clear one another.

Power comes in through a heavy-duty 14 gauge, 14/3 SJT cord suited to extreme temperature ranges, terminated in an integral moulded NEMA 5-15P straight-blade plug. This version ships with a 15 ft cord. A lighted on/off rocker power switch and a resettable 15 Amp, 125 VAC circuit breaker are built into the front panel to guard against accidental overload. This model is not metered, not surge protected and does not use a shielded cord.

Construction is painted steel, front and back, finished in textured black (RAL9005 powder coat that complies with Greenguard guidelines for indoor air quality). Overall dimensions are 1.72 in (44 mm) high by 19.00 in (483 mm) wide by 2.66 in (68 mm) deep, with a shipping weight of 4.3 lbs (1.95 kg), so the unit consumes a single rack unit in a standard 19-inch rack.
