The 1582T6B1BK is a 1U horizontal 19" rack mount basic PDU rated 15A single-phase, with six front-facing NEMA 5-15R outlets. It is designed for power distribution from the front of the unit, making it suited to IT, AV and OEM installations where equipment cords are dressed at the front of the rack or open frame relay rack.
Power comes in through a heavy-duty 14 gauge, 14/3 SJT cord rated for extreme temperature ranges with an integral moulded NEMA 5-15P straight-blade plug. On this model the cord is 15 ft long. A resettable 15 Amp, 125 VAC circuit breaker is built in to prevent accidental overload, and a red power indicator (pilot) light shows that the strip is live — this version has no on/off rocker switch. Outlets are not rotated, there is no surge module, no local amp meter and no rear outlets.
Construction is painted steel, black on both the front and back panels, finished in powder coat that complies with the Greenguard guidelines for indoor air quality. Overall dimensions are 1.72 in (44 mm) high by 19.00 in (483 mm) wide by 2.66 in (68 mm) deep, and the unit weighs 3.35 lbs (1.52 kg) shipping.
