The 1557DBK is a black general purpose ABS enclosure in the low 1557D profile: 4.72 in x 4.72 in x 1.77 in (120 mm x 120 mm x 45 mm). Its square footprint and shallow depth suit flat PCB assemblies, keypads and interface electronics used indoors.
The enclosure protects against oil, dust and water through a two piece tongue and groove lid and a one piece high temperature UL listed silicone gasket, and the ABS version has been tested to and meets IP66. The lid is secured with four M4 stainless steel machine screws that thread into corrosion resistant bushings (recommended torque 71-85 ozf-in, 50-60 cN-m).
Inside dimensions are 111.02 mm x 111.02 mm [4.37 x 4.37 in] with 38.80 mm [1.53 in] of height. The maximum PC board is 108.5 mm x 108.5 mm, fastened to bosses that accept #6 self-tapping screws.
The 1557DBK comes with four rubber feet, four wall mount feet and four wall mount foot screws for tabletop, flush wall or heavy duty wall flange installation (ABS foot torque 80 - 90 cN-m, 7 - 8 lbf-in). Pole mount kits PMB5057KIT3 and PMB5057KIT4 are listed for the 1557D profile. The ABS material is UL94 HB with IK07 impact resistance and a recommended operating temperature of -20°C to +60°C (-4°F to +140°F) for indoor use; it is not UL listed. Shipping weight 0.44 lbs (0.20 kg).
