Hammond 1557DAGY 120mm Square, 70mm Light Gray Abs IP66 Enclosure

The 1557DAGY combines the tall 1557DA body with light gray RAL7035 general purpose ABS. Outside it measures 4.72 in x 4.72 in x 2.76 in (120 mm x 120 mm x 70 mm), making it a sealed indoor housing for circuit boards, terminal blocks or modules that need extra headroom.

Rounded corners and a rounded face give a modern look. The gasketed lid has two piece tongue and groove construction and a one piece high temperature UL listed silicone gasket that protects against oil, dust and water, and the ABS version has been tested to and meets IP66. The four M4 stainless steel lid screws run into corrosion resistant bushings; torque them to 71-85 ozf-in (50-60 cN-m).

The drawing gives 111.02 mm [4.37 in] inside length and width and 63.80 mm [2.51 in] inside height. PC boards up to 108.5 mm x 108.5 mm mount on bosses that accept #6 self-tapping screws, and the aluminum inner panel 1557DPL is available as an accessory.

Each 1557DAGY includes four rubber feet, four wall mount feet and four foot screws; install the feet at 80 - 90 cN-m (7 - 8 lbf-in) and fix to the wall with #8 pan head screws (not included). The ABS material is UL94 HB with an IK07 impact rating, for indoor use from -20°C to +60°C (-4°F to +140°F); it is not UL listed. Shipping weight is 0.56 lbs (0.25 kg).
