Hammond 1557DA2GY 120mm Square, 70mm Gray Polycarbonate IP68 Box

For outdoor electronics that need the full 70 mm height of the 1557DA profile in a light colour, the 1557DA2GY is molded in RAL7035 grey polycarbonate and measures 4.72 in x 4.72 in x 2.76 in (120 mm x 120 mm x 70 mm). It is built for mounting printed circuit boards and is used by OEMs, integrators and facilities teams in exposed locations.

Protection comes from a two piece tongue and groove lid, a one piece high temperature UL listed silicone gasket and UV stabilized polycarbonate. The part is rated IP68 and NEMA 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 & 13 (series testing also covers IP66 and IP67), is cUL and UL 508A listed under file E65324, and has an IK08 impact rating per IEC 62262:2021. The part page gives a UL94 V-0 flame rating; the drawing notes UL94-5VA at 3 mm.

Inside, the 1557DA2GY offers 111.02 mm x 111.02 mm [4.37 x 4.37 in] and 63.80 mm [2.51 in] of height, with a maximum PC board of 108.5 mm square. Four M4 stainless steel lid screws thread into corrosion resistant bushings; recommended cover screw torque is 71-85 ozf-in (50-60 cN-m). Recommended operating temperature is -40°C to +110°C (-40°F to +230°F).

Four rubber feet, four wall mount feet and four foot screws are included for tabletop, flush wall or heavy duty wall flange installation. An aluminum inner panel (1557DPL) and replacement gasket (1557DGASKET) are available. Shipping weight is 0.62 lbs (0.28 kg); REACH and RoHS compliant.
