The 1556HGY is a light gray, low-profile enclosure from the 1556 series, molded from flame retardant ABS for printed circuit boards, IoT equipment and small electronics. Its wide 200 x 200 mm footprint and 45 mm height suit flat assemblies that need to sit on a desk or mount neatly on a wall indoors.
Dimensions are 7.87 in (200 mm) long, 7.87 in (200 mm) wide and 1.77 in (45 mm) high. According to the drawing, the inside measures 193.21 mm [7.61 in] square with 39.00 mm [1.54 in] of height. Maximum P.C. board size is 180 x 180 mm; mount boards directly to the lid or base with #6 self-tapping screws, or to the 1556HPL aluminum inner panel, sold separately.
The enclosure is designed to meet IP54, with lap joint construction that protects against access of dust and splashing water. The ABS is rated UL94 V-0, finished with a light satin texture and rounded corners, and the part is RoHS and REACH compliant. It is for indoor use only.
Included with the 1556HGY are the box, lid, 4 cover screws and 4 rubber feet, shipped in shrink wrap. The light gray 1556FOOTGY-4 foot kit converts it to a heavy duty flange or flush keyhole wall mount, and pole mount kits PMB110127KIT3 and PMB110127KIT4 are listed for the 1556H profile.
