Hammond 1556HWH 200x200x45mm White Low-Profile ABS Enclosure

The 1556HWH is a white flame retardant ABS enclosure in the low-profile 200 x 200 x 45 mm size of the 1556 Modern General Purpose series. It gives product designers and integrators a clean white housing for printed circuit boards, IoT equipment and other small electronics used indoors.

The part measures 7.87 x 7.87 x 1.77 in (200 x 200 x 45 mm) outside, with 193.21 mm [7.61 in] of inside length and width and 39.00 mm [1.54 in] of inside height on the drawing. The maximum P.C. board size is 180 x 180 mm. Multiple mounting locations in the lid and base accept #6 self-tapping screws, and the 1556HPL aluminum inner panel is available separately.

Its lap joint construction protects against access of dust and splashing water, and the enclosure is designed to meet IP54. The material carries a UL94 V-0 flammability rating and the part is RoHS and REACH compliant. The 1556 series is not designed for outdoor use.

Out of the box the 1556HWH sits on its four included rubber feet; add the white 1556FOOTWH-4 kit for a heavy duty wall flange mount or a flush keyhole wall mount. It ships shrink wrapped with box, lid and 4 cover screws; the drawing recommends 71-85 ozf-in (50-60 cN-m) cover screw torque and 42-56 ozf-in (30-40 cN-m) for PCB screws.
