The 1555WGY is the shallow version of the square 180 x 180 mm 1555 Series enclosure, standing 60 mm (2.36 in) tall. Molded from general purpose ABS in light gray RAL 7035, it suits indoor electronics, low-profile PC board assemblies and small DIN rail builds.
It ships with the box, lid, four M4-0.7 x 20mm stainless steel cover screws and a preformed silicone gasket supplied loose. Tongue and groove lid construction guards against oil, dust and water, and the self captivating screws thread into corrosion resistant inserts; recommended torque is 43-57 ozf-in (30-40 cN-m).
The 1555WGY drawing shows an overall height of 60.10 mm, an inside length of 172.36 mm and an inside height of 51.20 mm. P.C. boards up to 167 x 167.5 mm fit, mounted on M3 brass inserts, #6 self tapping screw standoffs or 1.5 mm card guides, and DIN rail tabs are molded in. The 1554WPL steel inner panel and 1554WGASKET replacement gasket are sold separately.
This ABS model is IP66 tested, IK07 impact rated, UL94-HB and recommended for indoor use from -20°C to +60°C (-4°F to +140°F); it is not UL listed. Four 4.30 mm wall-mounting holes sit outside the gasket channel and can take the 1554FT foot kit. Shipping weight is 0.95 lbs (0.43 kg).
