Hammond 1555WF42GY 181x180x65mm Deep ABS Flanged Watertight Enclosure

The 1555WF42GY gives the 1555WF footprint extra depth: 7.13 in x 7.09 in x 2.56 in (181 mm x 180 mm x 65 mm) not including flanges, with a 42.00 mm [1.65 in] inner box depth. It is a general purpose ABS enclosure for indoor electronics, controls and DIN rail assemblies that need a sealed, wall-mounted housing.

Drawing figures include a 65.20 mm [2.57 in] assembled height, a 220.00 mm [8.66 in] length across the flanges and a 14.80 mm [.58 in] inner lid depth. The satin RAL7035 grey lid has a smooth 147.00 x 174.00 mm recess, 2.00 mm deep, for a membrane keypad or label.

Protection against oil, dust and water comes from the two-piece tongue and groove lid and one-piece high temperature silicone gasket, supplied loose inside. Four included M4 stainless steel lid screws thread into corrosion resistant inserts, with a recommended torque of 2.5 lbf-in (30 cN-m); SC576-50 supplies replacement M4 x 20 mm screws.

The ABS material is UL94-HB, tested to IP66 and rated IK07 per IEC 62262:2021, with a recommended operating temperature of -20°C to +60°C; it is for indoor use and not UL listed. Molded standoffs accept #4 x 1/4" self-tapping screws and the lid has DIN rail tabs. Pair it with the 1554WPL steel inner panel, or choose 1555W2F42GY for the UL listed polycarbonate version.
