Hammond 1555WF17GY 181x180x40mm ABS Flanged Watertight Enclosure

The 1555WF17GY is a general purpose ABS enclosure with integral mounting flanges and a nearly square 7.13 in x 7.09 in x 1.57 in (181 mm x 180 mm x 40 mm) body, not including flanges. It is intended for indoor projects that still need a sealed housing: control electronics, PCB assemblies, small panels and DIN rail mounted parts.

Finished in satin RAL7035 grey, the lid carries a smooth recessed inlay of 147.00 x 174.00 mm (2.00 mm deep) for a membrane keypad or label. Drawing dimensions include a 220.00 mm [8.66 in] flanged length, 40.20 mm [1.58 in] height, 17.00 mm [.67 in] inner box depth and 14.80 mm [.58 in] inner lid depth.

The two-piece tongue and groove lid and one-piece silicone gasket (shipped loose, not pre-installed) protect against oil, dust and water. Four M4 stainless steel lid screws, located behind the lid for a secure interior, thread into corrosion resistant inserts; recommended torque is 2.5 lbf-in (30 cN-m).

ABS versions are molded from general purpose UL94-HB material, are tested to IP66, carry an IK07 impact rating per IEC 62262:2021 and are recommended for -20°C to +60°C (-4°F to +140°F). They are not UL listed; for a UL listed outdoor version choose 1555W2F17GY. Internally, standoffs take #4 x 1/4" self-tapping screws and DIN rail tabs are molded into the lid; the 1554WPL steel inner panel and 1554WGASKET replacement gaskets are available.
