The 1555VAL2GY is a low-profile, UL listed polycarbonate enclosure measuring 240 x 160 x 60 mm (9.45 x 6.30 x 2.36 in). Its light gray RAL 7035 body is UV stabilized for outdoor use, making it a fit for electricians, OEMs and field integrators housing slim electronics in wet, dusty or washdown locations.
Polycarbonate versions of the 1555 Series are cUL and UL 508A listed under file E65324 and have been independently tested to IP66, IP67 and IP68 plus NEMA Type 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 and 13. The material carries a UL94-5VA flame rating, and the enclosure is rated IK08 for impact per IEC 62262:2021, with a recommended operating range of -40°C to +110°C.
The assembly ships with the box, a styled lid with a recessed surface for a keypad or label, six M4 stainless steel cover screws and a preformed silicone gasket supplied loose. Screws are self captivating and thread into corrosion resistant inserts; recommended torque is 85 - 92 ozf-in (60-65 cN-m).
Inside the 1555VAL2GY you get 232.35 x 152.35 mm and 50.80 mm of height, with DIN rail tabs, M3 brass inserts, #6 self tapping screw standoffs and card guides for 1.5 mm boards; boards up to 145.5 x 226.82 mm fit. Four 4.50 mm wall-mounting holes sit outside the gasket channel and accept the 1554FT foot kit. The 1554VAPL steel panel and 1554VAGASKET replacement gasket are available separately.
