Hammond 1555TGY 180x120x91mm ABS Watertight Enclosure

The 1555TGY is a rectangular general purpose ABS enclosure measuring 180 x 120 x 91 mm (7.09 x 4.72 x 3.58 in), finished in light gray RAL 7035. With 82.00 mm of inside height it gives indoor projects room for DIN rail devices, terminal blocks or tall board components while keeping out oil, dust and water through its gasketed lid.

ABS versions are rated UL94 HB, are not UL listed, and have been tested to and meet IP66. The impact rating is IK07 per IEC 62262:2021, and the recommended operating temperature is -20°C to +60°C (-4°F to +140°F). The lid uses a two-piece tongue and groove joint with a replaceable one-piece silicone gasket supplied loose inside, and four included M4 stainless steel screws that thread into corrosion resistant inserts; the drawing recommends 43-57 ozf-in (30-40 cN-m).

Inside, the drawing gives 172.13 x 108.06 mm. Printed circuit boards up to 106.68 x 167.13 mm can be fixed to M3 brass inserts or to standoffs for #6 self tapping screws, and the separately sold 1554HPL steel inner panel fits in the box or lid. Molded DIN rail tabs and vertical guides for 1.5 mm boards are included in the molding.

Four 4.00 mm wall-mounting holes are located outside the gasket channel and also take the 1554FT foot kit. The polycarbonate, UL 508A listed version of this size is 1555T2GY.
