The 1555RL2GY is the low-height 160 x 160 mm member of the 1555 family: a light gray (RAL 7035) polycarbonate enclosure just 45 mm (1.77 in) tall. It suits designers who need a slim, sealed, outdoor-capable housing for a printed circuit board or a short DIN rail assembly and who need a listed product for their panel documentation.
Polycarbonate versions are UV stabilized for outdoor use and are cUL and UL 508A listed under file E65324. The series has been independently tested to IP66, IP67 and IP68 and to NEMA Type 4, 4X, 6, 6P, 12 and 13, and this part is listed at IP68. It carries an IK08 impact rating per IEC 62262:2021, a UL94 5VA flame rating and a recommended operating range of -40°C to +110°C (-40°F to +230°F); the manufacturer advises customers to test suitability for their specific application.
The drawing gives an inside length of 152.98 mm and inside height of 36.95 mm, and the maximum board size is 150.9 x 147.4 mm. Integral M3 brass inserts and #6 self tapping screw standoffs support boards or the optional 1554RPL steel inner panel, and DIN rail tabs and 1.5 mm card guides are molded in.
The lid closes on a replaceable one-piece silicone gasket (supplied loose) in a tongue and groove joint, secured by four included self captivating M4 stainless steel screws in corrosion resistant inserts. Four 4.30 mm mounting holes sit outside the gasket channel and also take the 1554FT foot kit.
